Using Listening Skills in a Climate Crisis

>> SAL at London Climate Action Week 2024 <<

Sustaining All Life is participating in London Climate Action Week , in person, and will present this interactive workshop on June 24, 2024 at 6pm BST.

Venue: Greenpeace, Canonbury Villas, London N1 2PN Buses 21, 38, 56, 73, 341, 476, 5 minute walk from Highbury and Islington (Victoria Line, Overground)

The event will be led by Caroline New, Gale Burns, and Punam Mangtani.

People will get the chance to improve their listening skills and learn how to use listening as a powerful tool to build unity and become more effective in their climate crisis work. Facing climate breakdown brings up many painful feelings. Activists can experience burn-out. Learning how to listen effectively to each other as we face and talk about how it has affected us is an important “action” towards freeing our minds. We can build resilience and act more decisively in our climate work.

Sustaining All Life (SAL) is a global organization that allies with and supports organizations and individuals working to end the climate crisis by providing tools that assist people to

  • address emotional barriers to effective climate organizing.
  • uncover and heal from damage and separation caused by oppression.
